If you have any questions, you can comment below, and I'll try my best to answer.īTW, Is there any easier ways to control dozens of cameras of different brands? Appreciate for any hints! Thanks. If everything is right, you succeed in adding Reolink to BI. Step 4: Choose ReoLink in Make and click OK. Then click "Find/Inspect." You'll find your cameras automatically, choose the cam you want to add, and click OK. Please download the V7.2.2.33 (Windows) or V3.5.6.55 (Mac) version client to use the cutting feature. Step 3: Insert the IP address (I use the IP of NVR), User & Password for your cameras. ago Reolink Admin Hi, may I know whether you are on the 8.2.x version client It does not support the cutting feature yet. Choose Baseline in H.264 Profile in Recording Encode. Step 1: I first configure it in Reolink Client. I also use lorex camera and other brands, so I use Blue Iris to control all my cams. They are solid choice for monitoring my store. I have reolink NVR and 4 RLC-410 POE cameras. I'm not so tech-savvy, and if there is something wrong or better methods, please tell me. Very disappointing. This is a quick summary for how to add reolink cameras to Blue Iris. The worst thing is that the solution is unseen in the horizon if FIVE MONTHS after my first ticket about it (I am sure that I am not alone with this problem) the response I get is "that is a known problem" and " will fix it in the future but now we don't have a proper solution for it". If you have a client version still capable to import a configuration you are in luck, because an added problem in my case is that neither old or new Mac client versions can to do that (I discussed that issue in the same ticket, as well), so I am therefore obliged each time to delete those zombie cameras from the device list and add them again. In fact, it was for this reason that I opened my first Support ticket on past Sep 27, 2020, and since then it has been repeated several times for some or all of my cameras. And it is not the first time this has happened. The names were changed to default "My device" and all settings and defined scenes were gone. I don't know whether the problem is the same I wrote about in #1290430: from one day to the next all my configurations had disappeared, except the camera models. Luckily, I still have an old version of the client software installed, Ver 7.2.2.28, so I have been able to use this to import my config settings again.Ĭan you recommend a fix or work around with the current version of client software or something which will stop my config settings from periodically being lost? I also loose the saved PTZ positions which is a pain as across all 4 cameras I have a total of 18 locations saved. It doesn't appear to be all the settings that are lost, I know for sure the Info settings are lost (Camera Name) and the Display settings are lost so I lose the Camera Name position and the Date & Time position for example. I can say that 1 of my cameras lost its config towards the end of January but I've just had another camera (same model but a different camera) loose its config last week and how I discovered the issue of the import button being removed. To answer your question, I can’t give an exact time as its random. I appreciate there might be some compatibility issues but surely if you export the config of a camera using a version of client software (example Ver 8.1.28), then as long as you are using the same version of the client software to import the config to the exact same camera, this shouldn't be a problem? Surely this simple check can be performed to restore this limited functionality in the short term until a more robust solution can be implemented? I could live with this because I would just perform a new export of all my camera's configs if I upgraded the client software to make sure I can import it again later.Īnyway, as I say, I wouldn't even need to perform this regular import config to my cameras if it wasn’t for the fact the occasionally lose their config settings. Thanks for your reply, it seems odd to remove the import option and not the export option, what's the point in exporting the config if it cannot be imported again afterwards? We will relaunch this function later when we find solutions to eliminate the compatibility issues.Īs for the configuration lost issue, may I know when they lose the configuration, will they also ask you to set a new password and device name? That's why we remove this function temporarily and work on these issues since then. We have been receiving reports from our users that they have encountered compatibility issues when exporting and importing config files between cameras with newer and older hardware version. That's why you cannot find the import camera settings function after the update. The older exported config files may not be compatible with our new desktop software and if users import the previous exported config files into the new desktop software, the software may crash. Sorry that the import config files function has been removed last year.
